Perry Posted December 19, 2004 Share Posted December 19, 2004 Since lift springs are proving hard to locate, I am looking into the alternatives to lifting my Baja. The spring perch mod. seems to be a good one, but not easily undoable if need be. But, it got me thinking about the possibility of using Daystar or similar spacers under or over the springs to lift them. This would be the same solution as Mudrats, but less permanent. coloradosubarules Posted December 20, 2004 Share Posted December 20, 2004 Are you refering to the coil spring spacers that they sell on ebay? If so you won't have a problem if the springs are the same size as the spacers and you don't go to tall as to throw off things like brake lines..etc. I used some on my 88 XJ and they worked great. These are made by Daystar and are polyurethane. They mount either under or on top of the spring, depending on the vehicle. (I am NOT referring to those little rubber coil spreaders. I have tried those on another car and they lasted to the end of the drive way!) The had sizes for everything but Subaru. I wonder how I could tell if they will fit and 03 Baja suspension?
