Are they the springs from King? They are good springs, a great upgrade.

John, How are you going to improve tire clearance? As you said, you don't get any greater clearance for tires with the Scorpion lift, but that is because of the wheel openings and the inner fenders. What is your solution. I want bigger meats! I already have the Scorpion springs in my 03, which are really great! Will that interfere with your kit? Want a test mule? ;-) Perry

I just installed Scorpions on my Baja, they also fit the Forester. I did not need taller shocks, but I did look for some. Never found them. The only thing you will not notice is the decrease in down travel. But, I have not noticed it at all. So, judge for yourself. As I said, I didn't find any taller strut inserts or shocks to replace the stocks with. If you know of any let me know.

Hi, I am looking for anyone who has installed Scorpion lift springs on their Baja. If so, did you need to replace any of the spring seats? Are the any other little items to know about before I have the old spings pulled off my car? Thanks, Perry

I have finally landed a set of Scorpion springs for the Baja. Now, I am wondering if there is a longer strut available from somewhere that I can use in place of the stocks in order to get back some of the down travel I am losing to the springs. Anyone? thanks, Perry

Inlet NY? You're gonna need a heck of a lift to get up out of that snow! ;-) All the guys I have talked to said that all the instructions were included. I think on just one occasion the wrong bolts were supplied, but other than that it was easy, if timer consuming. That si what I have heard. I havent been able to go there myself...yet!

I like my Baja. Use it to carry kayak gear mostly, so the wet smelly stuff stays outside! :-) CR recently reviewed the Baja again and gave it a Best Buy recommendation. I have an AT NA. If I did it again I would get the manual. But, the AT gets better mileage and that is what I wanted. Trying to make up for all those years in a Grand Wagoneer. Buy a new one! Do us all a favor. Buy a new one! At the time I got mine, with the incentives in place my new one cost less than a used one. Go figure.

Both those places are trying to get Scorpion stuff again. Also, one may be importing springs directly from the maker, King. Stay tuned. One more thing, a lift kit is being designed for the Baja which may well be usable on the Outback. It should be available in a few weeks accorrding to the guys at Rallitek. Best part is it will be made in the US! Stay tuned.

I have an 03 Baja, and other than the oft noted lack of power it is a nice vehicle. Apparently installing a nice fat exhaust system does a lot to fix that problem. The ability to haul larger stuff in the back is great, and although the pass through is too small, I can still stuff a good pile of long lumber in there. One thing I would tell you is to forget about the factory cross bars...they are fairly worthless. Get Yakima or the like. More wind noise, but that are flat and wide enough to actually carry stuff, and they have a lot more attachments too. In fact, forget what I just said...want to buy a set of genuine Subaru cross bars? ;-) It's a nice car and I am getting 26 mpg in my NA auto version. I have not come close to 28 ever, but that's an epa number, so don't believe it. I say buy a Baja, and get the net for the interior, it will keep all the junk that fits behind the seat in place when the back is down. We need more Baja owners. We want more Baja owners! Well, just got a call from the guy at Truck Candy, and he said just his orders are five months backlogged, so he doesn't think they will be doing any custom Subaru work anytime soon. So, anyone live near the water, or know of a boat canvas shop that would take it on. I bet if we could line up a few orders it would be a good job for them. What do you think?

Just got my Baja sideways (unintended) in a slippery interesection in traffic! No contact, but a real wake up call. I was going uphill, and turning right at a light. Fronts started slipping on the hill and curve, backs came on, and care was sideways before it could respond. Nothing I am not used to from my old Grand Wagoneer, but I didn't expect it here. Oh well, fun was had by all!

Hi all, I came across this site http://www.can-back.com recently. This is just what a Baja needs!!!! Does anyone know if they are still doing business? I tried the toll free number, but there was no answer. :-( Has anyone used one of their soft tops on a different vehicle? Thanks, Perry
