newbie - DIY maintainence... grease??

I am a shadetree mechanic with roots in old IH 4x4's and British Minis. I did my first oil change on my '00 OBW (woned for 1 month). I got the oil done and started looking around for something to grease. I couldn't find ANYTHING! Am I missing something? I couldn't find a lube chart in the owners manual, but there's GOT to be something to grease right??

Jack up the car, get out your creeper, pull out the grease gun and squirt some grease into your palm, rub your hands together and then smear it all over you. Now you can feel like you just lubed your vehicle.

 

I'm just having fun with you. I drive an 85 F250 diesel and I'm always under there greasing everything up and I hate doing it. I'm glad I don't have to grease anything on the wife's Subaru...sure makes life a little easier.

AS a professional mechanic, I always recommend any shadetree mechanic purchase a good service manual! The Subaru factory service manuals are quite expensive and contain much more information than a do-it-yourselfer would normally use. Haynes manuals, while not adequate for a professional, are a great reference for most anything you'd probably do at home. It will give you service intervals and service points. Your owners manual will likely also provide this data.
