2000 Outback LTD 6-Disk Changer

Featured Replies

Recently - my 6-Disk in dash changer will not work .. disks are in, however, I cannot get them to play or eject. When I start the car .. the changer tries to read each disk and fails..

Than nothing ... anyone else experience this problem .. is there an inexpensive fix?

Buy a used one off ebay, or look in the for sale section on nasioc. A lot of the WRX guys pull them almost immediately and install something else.

I don't know if the latest version of this unit fits your vehicle. Someone should be able to tell you.

Do you know if a 2004 Subaru WRXA M/FM stereo, 6 disc cd changer and casette head unit will install into a 2000 Outback?

My guess is Yes. I just installed a 2004 WRX 6 disc changer into my '95 Legacy sedan. Plug and play. Looks like it came that way from the factory.
