  1. Looks like just because it doesn't list the part as "discontinued" doesn't mean its available.
  2. Any chance your talking about 303 aerospace protectant? This stuff works well on the outside trim plastic and great on tires.
  3. Vice grip chain clamp. I use a piece of old alternator belt to protect the pulley. Works well on cam pulleys also.
  4. Use it as a template to cut a replacement of indoor/outdoor carpet from home depot or some such place.
  5. Probably because with stock forum settings, your original post is the last one on page 1.
  6. It's been done. Here's the guys website, not much info on the swap but it does give a email address if you want to find out more on houw he did it. Judging from his list of mods he's probably a member here. http://www.webspawner.com/users/bratman2/

    new tires...

Nice. How much clearance between the tire and the strut in the rear?
  8. Having you tried jacking up the front of tranny an inch or two? I do this and a lot of cussing and eventually they slide together like they were made to.
  9. Hood scoops started in '97. Any hood from a '97 to '99 Outback, GT or SUS will have a scoop and should bolt right up to your '95.
  10. I'm guilty, my car right before I bought my white '86 GL wagon some 12 years ago was a '69 squareback. It was white too.
  11. A bad crankshaft sensor caused a nostart condition after short trips on my '95 legacy with the same 2.2. They are very easy to replace and cost about 25$ new from 1stsubaruparts.com or very cheap to free from your local yard.
  12. Thanks for the suggestion but I'm looking for info on how the rear door speaker grill mounts to the door card of a '95-'99 legacy or outback.
  13. Right, that's where mine are too. They don't do much so I'd like to add some to the rear doors as well. I believe both you guys have gen 1 Legacys? The grills would be specific to the gen 2 legacy and outback, '95-'99. Has anybody swapped out their speakers lately?
  14. My '95 Legacy Sedan didn't come with rear door speakers. Can somebody, with a 2nd gen legacy that has them, tell me if the grills are molded into the door card or if they are removable and could be easily retrofitted to mine?
  15. Here's some decent info on DIY alignments: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=645484&page=1&pp=25
  16. Are you talking about the roof mounted rearview mirror in the interior or the door mounted side mirrors on the outside? For the side mirrors, if it has never been removed before the three screws holding it to the door can be very hard to break free. When I tried with just a large screwdriver by hand, the phillips heads started to strip. After my cussing turned into cursing I went and got an impact screwdirver. The kind you hit with a hammer. It is definately the right tool for the job. The rearview mirror on the inside is not as tough. Just pop off the trim piece and remove one screw and it should come out. Good luck.
  17. 95011AC730MJ is the part number for dark grey carpet for a 95-99 legacy wagon. It runs about 150$ plus shipping from www.subarugenuineparts.com or www.1stsubaruparts.com
  18. Dude, how are you gonna steal from another SOOB owner? And mess with his ride to boot? FOR SHAME! If your serious, you don't deserve to drive a subaru. Please tell us it was a bad joke. On that note, Autozone sells stainless security hardware (allen head with a dimple in the center) for license plates.
  19. Are the frame spacers for the angle of the axels? Anybody got pics of these spacers?
  20. Check this thread for a list of other good stuff to check/replace while your in there. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27178&highlight=parts+list+timing+belt+number%2A
