Ryanb
I just got my EA81 and it came with a webber...however the plug off the electric choke seems to be gone. I took a look at Mr. Night Eyes' ride and it looks like the whole plug is just not there. So, here's my question.... Can I run a constant, straight off the battery? If not, what's the best thing to do? On a side note, anyone in Portland, OR have the time and capability to do a valve adjustment on a '83 with straight lifters? I will pay of course. swiftt
You should run the hot for the choke off of a switched ignition source so there's only power when the ignition is on. If there's not one readily available, the + side of the coil is a handy place to find what you'll need. If it is run straight from the battery, the choke will always have power and your car will be hard to start. I live in PDX. PM me and maybe I can help... Good luck.
