  1. spoob yeah. I hate this body style generally but damn this looks amazing. I'd fully rock this.
  2. So is that a no then?

  3. I'd like to see those as well if possible.
  4. How much money are you talking for something like this?
  5. I think it would do for looks, okay on light trails, but probabley bend and twist under serious conditions. Just my opinion though.
  6. I was seriously starting to think the same thing as I read this. What's your beef with Oregon? You anti - hippy or some ish?
  7. Dude! Argh! Friday I was all ready to go. My car had been lagging a bit lately. I decided to take it for a spin and see if I could figure it out. It turns out that my clucth was adjusted too tight, so it was staying partially engaged at all times. The more gas I would give it the more it would stick, I guess due to the change in angle ( i.e. crappy struts, etc.) The previous owner broke the cable off at it's adjutment, so I could not let it out at all. Well, I tried to take the back nutt of the cable and just rock one nut. (haha) but in doing so I broke the cable more. Some how!?!?!?! Long story short. I could not get a cable in time for the show. Dealer and Napa both said Monday. Eck. I went to a yard and pulled a cable for an 83. I got home and went to put it in. Turns out 83 and 84 have a different cable. I was unaware of this before hand. I went back to the yard, then to another yard, and still another. Tons and tons on EA82, about 15 or so '83's, and only ONE 84...which was automatic. Man, I was so bummed to miss out, you don't even know.
  8. I got my axels at NAPA. You mey fret, but at $80 a pop with a life time warrenty...I don't see how I could beat that. Any time it breaks I bring it in and get anew one for free . As far as replacing an axle? Man there are like 100 threads on that. Do a search, it's one of the more common topics.
  9. I'm trying to get my car in top notch running order, and the end of my clutch cable snapped off during adjustment. So....now I need one ASAP. Does anyone in Portland have one? Used or new I can buy hopefully tonight? I realize it's ridiculous to ask, but I'm trying to avoid doing this in the morning. I just wanna leave early. I'll doi what I have to, but we'll see what works out. -Ryan
  10. On a side note... I'll be going up on Saturday. I got two seats open if anyone wants a ride...pm me
  11. It was the switch. The pink conecter is melted and FUBAR. Sweet, time for a new one. Thanks guys
  12. Look up Chef Tim. He did it. I beleive I heard he said he would not do it again, but it looks effin sweet.
  13. A new thermo is like 5 bucks at napa. See the big hose at the top of your radiator? Follow it back to the engine. Where it meets the intake manifold it connects with 2 bolt's. Just pop those bolts and swap in the new one. Make sure you have a gasket too, like a buck. Good luck.
  14. I know how far you are from portland, but you are more than welcome to use my timing light if you need.
  15. jdzkjzdfjkxbvndlsdld!!!! I'm starting to hate this car. It's one thing after another after another. I checked the power at the FPCU. It was 11.40/11.30/11.45 on I beleive 4 out of the 6 connecters. I tried swapping out the FPCU with another. Success! It runs.. No wait, now it's dead again. So it's running for a second, then dies. I can pump the gas and it runs for a second , then chokes out. I switch back to the old one. It runs again...:-\ Then will not at all. I switch back to the known good. It sort of works for a second. Then it won't. I go hook up the ghetto wiring again to see if it's a fuel pump issue, and then it works perfect. Okay, WTF? I un-hook the ghetto way, and hook the stock connecters back up again. It runs for a second, but I suspect that's just residual fuel in the filter. Now it won't run at all. I'm so lost. I have not yet been able to check the amps at the plug to the fuel pump when cranking, as I need another person. I also took the only two relays under the dash out. I figured out which one was for the head lights, and swapped it to the other one to see if that was the issue. Still no. So now I'm back to everything hooked up the way it's supposed to be, and no go. Any ideas? please.
  16. I need to know what else is on the "wiper washer" 20amp fuse circut other than; wipers, washer fluid, fuel pump, fuel pump electrical box, and wiper switch. If you could help me out by looking the FSM I would be most greatfull. I have an 84 hatch . I'm sitting there letting in warm up in the parking lot after work. All of a sudden it cuts and dies. I look in the carb, no fuel. I check the fuses, " wiper washer " fuse is blown. I replace it. It blows again. I go get more fuses, then I unplug the wiper motor, new fuse, it blows. I systematically try; wiper motor, wiper fluid motor, fuel pump, fuel pump electrical box thing that tells the fuel pump to get power. Each thing blows a fuse. I'm outta fuses and ideas, can't see anything in the engine bay grounding out either. So on the orders of GD, I hot wire the fuel pump to my subwoofers power and ground it to the diff hanger. I had to cut out my speaker wire to the doors to get cable to use for the job. It was pretty ghetto and probably not too safe, but it got me home. But now...now I'm lost.
  17. Brian, I love that damn hatch. I'm also diggen that BRAT. I mean, I've seen it before but never in a video. Looks like too much fun. I wish we lived closer to eachother.

Is that a welded rear diff or open? Very nice. Way to rep the sedan
  19. Exactly how do I hook up the breather hoses for the valve covers and the pcv valve? Right now I have on the PS a single small filter on its own. On the DS I have a hose coming out the bottom of the weber air fliter to a T that goes to the PCV and the valve cover. Is this right? I thought I knew, but I have looked at others that just ran the PCV straight to the DS valve cover, and even others that have run the wait filter from the weber straight to the DS valve cover but not involved the PCV. A picture would be most helpufll. Thanks.
  20. Wow...thank you all for being neagative f's It sounds good, and it's out of my way. So I'm happy. I do beleive I asked what other people did, not for opinions on what I did.
  21. I love these threads. It's great to see everyone's hard work. 84 Hatch: 3 inch lift, 27.5 Swamper SSR's on drilled chrome chevy rims, Yakima Rack with lights, Hella 500 lights ( not pictured ) , Welded rear, Weberized 32/36 DGAV ( yeah, I run the water choke), Rear discs (by the show), Kicken sound system, tons of personal touches only I would care about.
