Hi everyone,

 

I have a 97 Impreza Outback Sport. Road debris wounded one of my fog lights (smashed the lens and reflector), and I would like to get a replacement.

 

Surfing one vendor (Subaruparts.com) I see that a replacement unit, part #H4510FA220, costs over $200 (yikes!).

 

But I note that I can purchase the entire Subaru fog light accessory kit for a 1997 Impreza Outback Sport, part # 84501 (which I assume includes BOTH fog lights, bulbs, brackets and wiring) is available for only $165. Is this a cheaper way to go for the parts I need (and keeps some in reserve, too, I guess)?

 

On a different question, the cruise control will not work. The power switch works and illuminates, but the cruise control will not engage. I checked the obvious fuse, but everything was ok. Anywhere to start for troubleshooting? Wiring harness connectors, perhaps?
