The paint on the roof is developing white patches (my wagon is Burgandy, i think) it seems to get worse after its been in hot sun all day. i can scratch it with my fingernails and pink-ish dust comes off

 

What causes this and how is it fixed?

 

I also have a few small surface rust spots (from rock chips i assume) that i wanna fix before they get to drastic, whats the best way to do it?

 

What is the name of my paint colour? how can i find it? (actual name, not number)

What you see is oxidization of the paint. Get some mild rubbing compound and begin polishing lightly BY HAND. Do a small area and keep checking the progress by wiping it down with a dry rag. Once you get down to good paint !STOP! you can get down to primer real fast. Rinse it thoroughly to get rid of the grit and then apply a good wax with UV protection in it. Be sure to keep a good coat of wax on it in the future and it should solve the problem. Good luck!
