January 30, 200521 yr The other day I was detailing the leggy and I pushed the lever down to tilt the wheel so I could clen the column shroud...not a problem. Now it doesn't go up to the top and stay there. It will only click halfway up. It's a PITA. Has this happened to anybody else??? I'm stumped. I have exhausted my efforts trying to get it to stay in the upright position. Does it need some Rooagra???
January 30, 200521 yr Mine does that too (usually it'll only lock into one spot) Unfortuantely, I have yet to figure that one out, cuz as you said its a PITA. My dad on the other hand has figured it out so I've just been letting him deal with it every time I unlock its place since once it's out of it it'll go as low as it can before locking again. I think Im not seeing/feeling a button or something.

January 30, 200521 yr I would remove the lower column shroud and check for wiring or anything blocking the travel. Did an alarm / remote start install and had to take extra care to keep wiring out of the way.
January 30, 200521 yr on my legacy there are 2 levers one is to tilt it up and the other one is to lock it in to place the other lever is black and it is under the steering wheel
January 30, 200521 yr Yeah, the lever on the side is there to lift the steering wheel all the way up to make entry and exit easier. The lever under the column controls the actual height.
January 31, 200521 yr Author Feeling kinda lucky I went out and pulled the lever under the wheel...sho nuff the damn thing stuck in the upright position. I had tried everything to get it to do that. Someone on the board must have used a little voodoo to help me out. Thanks whomever you are. I can now sit in my car comfortably.
