I'm thinking about purchasing one and installing it myself. I don't have any experience with this, but I'm decently adept at following instructions.

 

Am I going to regret the do-it-yourself urge? Anyone?

I do all my own audio work, it is usually pretty easy, much cheaper, and that great sense of pride.

I'd say the hardest part is running the power wire through the firewall, and that isn't too hard.
