I was changing the atf fluid when i was filling it back up it started to drip back out of the pass side cv axle for no reason what so ever.

Could anyone tell me how much I wouldexpect to pay to for changing diff. fluid seal by the pass side cv joint at the dealer or a trusty mechanic i have a 90 legacy ls awd

Call up no less than 5 local shops and ask exactly this question. Try to shoot for 10 shops. You will know right away who's willing to work with you, who's got the best prices, and who's trying to jerk your chain. Find yourself a happy medium. Super cheap isnt always the best; ask questions.

I think you may have filled the differential housing with ATF. The transmission, as you see it, has two seperate compartments. One holds ATF, the other gear oil.

yea i think there all right legacy777 told me about this and i have to check it in the morning i didnt know that it had 3 dip sticks they really dont tell you how to change it in the repair manual
