February 13, 200521 yr Okay. My car's rear diff is shot. I got a flat and didn't realize it (yes slap me) and i screwed it up. how much would a new rear diff cost? and for all you that ask symptoms of my car, i have to barely press down the accelerator to get it to go and if i press to hard it sounds like i am reving my engine. it takes a life time to get the car to 30. anyone got some advice or help?
February 14, 200521 yr You should check your trany fluid level , driving 30 miles even with the spare on should not affect the way the trany drives the car ,the most it may affect is the AWD system Why do you think the rear diff is gone? SEA#3
February 14, 200521 yr Author from what other ppl on other boards have told me .... i know nothing about care but whats the tranny fluid and if it affected the AWD how i fix that
February 14, 200521 yr this car has a viscous center diff. If the rear diff was snafu and not driving the rear wheels The center diff should lock up and drive both ends sounds more like a clutch issue to me. or maybe the center diff
February 15, 200521 yr btw i ment to say my car is standard..... don't ask i zoned That's OK everyone does that once in a while !!! It may be time for a clutch job if that's the case , there is an adjustment on the cable , which should be checked every 6000 km or 4000 miles . But if that hasn't been done odds are it's "clutch job time " SEA#3
