February 15, 200521 yr We didn't actually get together for our Tahoe Run so I thought it'd be cool if we could all get together and do SOMETHING. I know TheSubarujunkie has wanted to get up this way for a junkyard run, so maybe that could happen. We had also wanted to film a little for our project video, and I know Subieman wouldn't mind getting some action as well. We also have a few new guys around that would like to join us as well. (NVBigBlue) so lets get something together. I know the Junkie has wednesdays off, and Subieman has those afternoons off, I'm off whenever, so lets try to get somethin goin.
February 15, 200521 yr Sundays work best for me, but I might be able to swing a Tuesday or Wednesday:) . Of course I'd be up to meeting another member, too..NVBigBlue, you're over in Dayton, right?
February 15, 200521 yr Sounds good but I don't get off work until 2. That leaves little time to do anything. Plus in 2-3 weeks I think there will still be to much snow. Sunday works better.
February 15, 200521 yr Ya, I'm over in Dayton, but unfortunately I only have Sat and Sun off . And this next weekend I'm out of town on Sun, and hopefully spending Sat and Mon (yeah! state holiday) working on the carb to spfi swap. But a few weeks down the line might work out if it's on the weekend... NV
February 16, 200521 yr Author Well then. It seems like we might set somethin up for a weekend. Can you get a day off Brian? I'm thinkin the Sunday of March 6th. Thats 3 weeks from this coming sunday. Does this sound all right for everyone?
February 16, 200521 yr Sunday 6th looks good for me. Subieman, whaddya mean, "too much snow"? The more the better! More expected here tonight, yay!
February 16, 200521 yr I can be there by 5pm Hehe Other than that i dunno if I can go. I'll talk to some co-workers, sundays are our slowest days and I can probably switch with someone. -Brian
March 3, 200521 yr Author Well, do we want to go "wheelin" or hit up a junkyard or anything. we should meet kinda early, as some of us are gonna be busy later in the afternoon, but other than that I don't know. Who needs stuff from Pick and Pull?
March 3, 200521 yr We're talking about Sunday, right? If that's the case, PnP is closed that day. Wheelin' sounds good to me.
March 3, 200521 yr Author We're talking about Sunday, right? If that's the case, PnP is closed that day. Wheelin' sounds good to me. OH Yeah! I forgot about that. Wheelin it is! dave - Is there any cool places to wheel in the Carson area? If not, where else could we go?
March 4, 200521 yr There are some cool Forest Service trails at the top of Spooner..I'll look more closely to see if they're open yet..lots-o-snow still piled up in Tahoe:grin: .
March 4, 200521 yr Sweet, maybe I'll have my new tires by Sunday. The ones I have now suck in everything. Places to wheel might be few and far between, but lets see what we can come up with. Check out Spooner Dave. NVBigBlue are you gonna be able to make it? I would love to see the progress on your FI swap! Hope to see you up here Brain!
March 4, 200521 yr Hey guys, The FI swap is going....a lot slower now....but still moving forward. Shall we say slight clearance problems? Pics to come..... As for the get together, I just started up at TMCC so I might be working on Sunday with some upgrades, but should know by the end of today. Keep me posted on where and when everyone is going and I'll try and make it. Of course, all I have is my Silverado though..... NV
March 4, 200521 yr i asked my boss today if I could get Sunday off. he said "if we're slow" I wont know for sure until i get off tonight, but if it keeps raining we'll be slow for sure. -Brian
March 5, 200521 yr OK. Spooner trails(and all of the trails at Tahoe) are buried in snow, some still being used for snowmobile tours. I've been thinking maybe Jumbo Grade might be kind of different, runs from New Washoe to Virginia City. Of course, there are plenty of trails north and east of Carson City, a few I wouldn't mind exploring. These are more desert in nature, but still hilly.

I'm not lookin for a LOT of snow either, I've had enough of it this winter to hold me through. When and where is a good place to meet?
March 5, 200521 yr Snow+Subaru+Subieman+ STUCK = MAD, bad temper! Well if we are gonna wheel down near Carson it would make sence to meet up there... like the Costco or Best Buy parking lot?
