EA81 & EA82T plugs...

Featured Replies

are they the same? The auto store didnt have anything listed for NGK's on the RX, so I had him look up an '84 GL and got a set of plugs. Im sure the gap isnt the same... so if someone can tell me what to gap them to. I hope the thread pitch is the same for the plugs.

Same plugs my Datsun runs... same plugs my Honda 350 ran 30 years ago.

Another reason to love NGKs.

if you plan on cranking the boost a little, it would be advisable to go to a colder plug. A BPR7ES or something of the like, a stock plug is a BPR6ES i believe.

.044 is too wide for a turbo car, especially if you are running more boost.

you want to run .028-.030 gap on a turbo engine, to prevent the boost from blowing the spark out.

Thanks Sideways. THe 4 plugs i pulled looked like things inside the engine are running lean :( When I do my oil change, i will regap them to .030 and try that.
