99 Forester too slow!!!!!

Featured Replies

I have a 99 Forester S and after having a thread about turbos i guess thats not a good idea, so what about other ideas maybe STI MOTOR and tranny, can a forester even handle that much power?? I dont really need 300 hp as much as i would love it. Whatever ideas you have i would appreciate it.

P.S. some guys told me that foresters were not good offroad, i dont know where they got that idea, i went the other day here in Mexico, and my brothers Jeep Cherokee (xj 4x4) could not even keep up!

Get a Borla exhaut header, better high flow muffler, better air-filter/cold-air intake, and good spark plugs...you will gain some HP, and have an awesome sounding forester.

Was his Jeep running on 3 cylinders in 2WD or was this all just a wet dream you had ?

Intake and exhaust mods will free up a little bit of power, say 10hp on a good day, and that might enough to give you the edge.

The STi motor and tranny will fit, but it's not worth the effort. There is 2.5 XT Forester now and that aint slow.
