I read this thread looking for something to loosen a big rusty bolt. PB Blaster, liquid wrench, and WD-40 didn't work. So I clamped a big vice grips down as hard as I could to avoid stripping the head and hit it with a sledge hammer (the BIG kind). That worked.

Here is another vote for Kroil. Its a best kept secret. Can you imagine a penetrating oil that can get between the copper fouling and the steel in a high powered benchrest rifles barrel. the copper is practically fused to the steel. Kroil gets between.

 

Thats where I got turned on to the stuff. Works like magic when all others fail. Rust is no match. Let it sit. But avoid the fumes.
