I'm wanting to switch an '88 1.8fi from a 5 speed wagon into an '87 GL wagon with a carbed 1.8 with an auto. I'd appreciate any insight to the swap and whether or not it would bolt up without any problems. Thanks, Joe

As long as you are prepared to swap the whole wiring loom (including the under dash one i think) and computer, you should be fine. Why not take the 5 speed and diff with it though?

Ross is right, you will need to swap the front wiring harness complete (because that is easier then splicing the wires). I don't know what you are trying to gain by doing this. I'm not sure the trouble is worth the effort.
