February 26, 200521 yr HI. I am replacing the head unit in a 99 Subaru Forester. I was wondering if anyone knows which wire is witch? (ie purple with silver dot is front left speaker ground) Or a site at which i could get this information? I do not want to use a wiring harness adapter as they are hard to get where i live. February 28, 200521 yr I have the radio diagram for a 96. It should be the same. The wire colors are becoming more universal in different auto makes. Let me know your emial address.

Thanks in advanceDamien. Pin-out of the Radio Wiring Connector in the Forester (all years since 1993) A wiring adaptor really does make your installation much easier. Definitely worth taking extra effort to find and order one.
