I came home the other night via Taxi and as I walked up my front steps I clicked the lock on the remote for my '99 Forester. To my surprise the horn honked and the 4-ways flashed. Normally only the 4-ways go off (no horn).

To other '99 owners, when you lock with the remote which happens

1 horn + 4 ways

2 only 4-ways

Do I have a bad elec connection somewhere?

From 2000 Outback Owner's Manual:

Selecting audible signal operation

Using the horn, the system will give you an audible signal when the

doors lock and unlock. If desired, you may turn the audible signal off.

To turn the audible signal off, simultaneously depress “LOCK/ARM”

and “UNLOCK/DISARM” buttons for more than two seconds. The horn

will sound two times to inform you that the audible signal has been

turned off.

Hope this helps........
