Car makin a Chucha chucka sound

Featured Replies

Its more noticable when first starting it, but i doesnt seem to go away... It seems to be syncronized with the engine, but it goes away when i press the clutch in. When the clutch is pressed in, it sounds like a nice purr of the engine, but the chucka chucka chucka comes back as soon as i start to let the clutch out. It happens in any gear, including N. I can still kidna hear it when driving, but it's not as easy to hear, but it's a fairly loud car... Anyone know what this is? or how to fix it?

Maybe a bearing on the gearbox input shaft.

kinda like a low rumble, not very high pitched... like, something spinning, and bieng off balanced, if that makes sence...

Well i remember in early morning i would drive the subbie and hear this really high pitched sound that would get louder and sounded like it was coming from the steering wheel(even though i never figured that one out, it just went away). Your problem could be a LARGE amount of things. Make sure your car has enough oil in it first.
