Just curious if there will be any problems using laquer based paint over the factory paint on my '85 brat ... I can get some decient black laquer and red lead primer for it, just hoping it won't be make the old paint bubble or anything

Do a test, Take a cloth with some laquer thinner and rub it on a small out of the way spot,in the trunk or what ever, wait awhile do it again in the same spot. If the paint doesn't lift or come off. You will be ok.

If it truly is factory, spray away. That's all I used to use. Great paint.
