Wheel nut problem

Featured Replies

Hi

One of the huts on my passenger side rear wheel has damaged the bolt when i was having some new tires put on. The other three are fine. Question is how big (and expensive) a job is it to get that bolt fixed?

thanks guys

It's a pretty easy to replace a wheel stud, if you have the tools needed to take the brake drumb off. After that it's a matter of driving out the bad stud and pressing in a replacement.

if you get the drum off, tou can use a hammer to knock the stud thru from the front, so it falls out the back. if you get a new stud put it thru the drum, bolt the wheel to the drum, and as you tighten the lug nut it will pop the stud in place
