April 17, 200520 yr would it be a much easyer conversion for a ea81t than an ea82t. what sort of power is acheiavable to get out of an ea81t on a normal workers budget. i still cant get over how expensive brumbys are over the world u can get a minta over here for about 3000$ in aussi u r still payin 5000$-6000$ i cant believe it which bring importing one in out of the question.
April 17, 200520 yr Are you saying you want to find an ea81t to put in a non turbo car? Good luck - there are very few ea81ts around here (im assuming your from the same christchurch as me) - i have one but its the only one i've seen in well over a year. If you can find one, they seem to be a good strong engine, and would be capable of a fairly decent power output. The ea82t conversion would require much more work, but is possible.
April 18, 200520 yr Author yea man ive got an ea81t ova home in akaroa but its got cracked heads is it hard to get them welded is it very strong
April 18, 200520 yr Where are the cracks in the heads? If its a crack just between the two valves, they are ok. The ea81 is a strong engine. So long as you change the oil regularly and dont overheat them, they are tough as. I remember seeing an ea81t in akaroa a few years back, yours? If you can, it would be worth fixing the motor, they are very rare here.
April 19, 200520 yr Author yea it is between the two valves u donk know where i could get them welded do u?
