Has anyone installed a hood protector on an '05 Outback. I had one, a few years back, on a Nissan Pathfinder and it rubbed the paint off at the hood edges. I want to install the Subaru factory one but have that reservation. Also does it do any good?

 

Would appreciate any feedback.

I have been running the factory full front end bra and haven't noticed any paint issues at all...take it off regularly and clean and wax ....I do not have the chipped paint problem anymore...factory bra fits perfect and I am pleased...bd

YEA THEY DO OK THEY ARE HELD AWAY FROM PAINTWORK BY DESIGN
