Dash Illumination Problems

Featured Replies

Ive just installed a panasonic cd player in our 98 Impreza.

Now the dahs lights will not come on . i have checked all the fuses- they r ok.

There are 2 wires left over- which from looking around on the net are for the illumination of the dash board.

here is a link to a guide i found ...

I have tried disconnecting the wires, and connecting them - but still the lights wont work.

If anyone can help me as what i can do with this, it would be appreciated.

Did you use a wiring harness or did you cut some wires? Hopefully the former. If not then make sure you dont have them turned down on the switch. No offense, but sometimes simple things get overlooked. Also wondering how you grounded your receiver. Also not sure what you mean when you say there are two wires left over/ Are those left over from where they entered the stock stereo? Just curious. Also what color are these two wires?
