What are all the problems that could gas burning of antifreeze?

 

I would like to make sure that it is not just a simple gasket or other problem.

there are three types gaskets I know of that could cause you to burn antifreeze - the one under your carb (actually had that problem once), the intake manifold gaskets, and the head gaskets (if you total up all the gaskets, that makes five - 2 intake, 2 head) - in your case I would be surprized if it is merely (hopefully) the gasket below the carb - a compression test would tell you of a bad HG - otherwise it is the intake manifold gaskets

Okay, so if I do a compression test.....what psi should i have in all the cylinders? and if they are all the same?

 

also, if it is the intake manifold gaskets.....are there any pics of it....and what is the procedure for doing the operation....

Compression test numbers - all cylinders should be with in 10% of each other.

 

Usually EA82 numbers on a SPFI/carb block is around 130-140 psi

I will try to get a compression tester...and do it...

 

so if the compression test is good.....what is the next step?
