Need someone to look over a vehicle for me.

 

Been corresponding with a fellow in Ludington, Michigan (11+ hours from where I am right now). He's selling an '83 convertible, sounds good though needs work (new top/rear window, some 'very little' rust, and makes a knocking sound in the front end); we've been negotiating price. I'm sitting on the parts car for it here.

 

Could use some pics, and need to know if I'm gonna need a trailer to haul it up here. He doesn't have a digital cam and the only pics he can provide at the moment are ~10y/o.

 

Sooo, willing to cover reasonable expense (gas and lunch money) if you're near the area and can give this one a good looking over for me and provide pics. Just want to know what to expect when I get there to pick it up.

 

Anyone able to help me out?

Thanks Miles, I'll keep you in mind. Would depend on what part of Wisconsin you're in at the moment. Ludington is on the Eastern shore of Lake Michigan; I understand there's car ferry service between Manitowoc, WI, and Ludington. Mapquest puts Ludington at about 100 miles north of Grand Rapids, MI.

i am in milwaukee near the college i will be out here till about the 14th of may before i haed out. i believe there is ferry service here too, i think its about 30 bucks

Thanks Miles. Seems an awful long way out of your way though. Don't get me wrong, I'll definitely keep you in mind and really appreciate the offer, just mindful of the extra distance for you to travel on your way home. Be great to find someone a bit closer, but no other nibbles so far. Maybe this bump will help?
