After installing a new Pioneer AVIC in my car, my wife has gotten hooked. I'm going to install an AVIC-D1 in hers tomorrow.

 

I can't seem to locate any sources of wiring diagrms online for the 2003 Baja or Outback. Can anyone point me in a direction to locate where the VSS/speed pulse line is hidden?

 

Any help appreciated!

I have wiring diagrams from a CD i bought on-line, but I have no idea what VSS is. Please clarify and I'll see what I can find.

It should tie to the speedometer I believe.

Vehicle speed sensor is threaded into the transmission on the upper right (pass) side of the transmission behind the engine bellhousing. It will have 3 pins when unplugged. Not sure which wire you need but that should be it I think.
