Ongoing FWD fuse...

Featured Replies

Yeah I know... this issue is not dead yet.

What I'd like to do is cut one of the wires going to this "magic fuse holder" and then run two wires from that point into the dash with a switch to select 2WD or 4WD after the fuse is installed. There is no question that it will work. But, here is the question that 3,300 users on this forum cannot answer. What will happen if I shift-on-the-fly into one of these modes as I'm going down the road??? I have an automatic '97 Legacy. Any techies on this forum?

My '86 AMC Eagle could perform this function without a problem.

I give up, what do you think you will gain from this?

If it ain't broke, don't !@ with it.
