A question for all Outback Sport owners!!

Featured Replies

in the mid-model outback sports with the scoop and vents on the hood, what happens if you unscrew the black plastic plates on the underside of the hood, opposite the scoop and 2 side vents?

Does it make them functional?

If you remove the covers you will have air flow into the engine compartment.

There is really nothing for the airflow to hit like an intercooler or stock intake.

If you remove the cover for the passenger side and get a intake, you can get cool air to the engine from there.

Other people have hacked the back of their intake airbox and used the air from the hood scoop to feed the engine.

Hope that helps
