my lifted wagon setup, if anybody cares

Featured Replies

so with all the parts laying around i decided to try some part swaping on my 84 ea81 wagon, i managed to fit a set of rx struts to it, and gained another 2" of ride hieght and a softer??? spring, i dont know why its softer but it is, i gianed 1" more travel, and my 27" tires dont rub, when i gas it, it rises up 2-3" in the front, sucks for night driving, you blind the car in front, this week i will be fitting, ea82 front hubs,, for the bigger brakes, in the rear i took the entire swing arm from a rx and bolted it to the ea81 cross members, they fit very well, minor grinding for brake line clearence, so its got rear disc, im using 73 chevy rear shocks, no need for the lift spacer, these shocks are longer, im also making 3" spacers to raise the engine back up so i can run the exhuast above the crossmember and completey tuck it up under the car, then use a 2" spcer on the transmision, thus getting a good drive shaft angle to the rear end, i think i can creat the best undercareage clearence, and also get a better stick shift position, im also thinking about making new control arms that are longer and run ea82 axles, getting better trackwidth, i have figured out how to use ea82 power steering and as soon as i make the new pump bracket that part will be done, im considering switching to ea82 engine and diff lock 5speed, i dont have any ideas about raising the rear up, except more blocks, but maybe a conversion to live axle rear, this would not be hard, a 3link setup and coilovers, a slipper drivshaft would be needed, maybe mod one from a chevy, any other ideas............
