Mr. Carb Posted May 28, 2005 Share Posted May 28, 2005 I got the new tranny in the brat last weekend... it runs and drive now, transmission works good, it has a loud whine in 4th gear though, doesn't whine in any other gear, not even reverse. I thought that was kind of a rare one, it's full on gear oil, so I'm hoping time will quiet it. without it breaking. Looks like I have to get a new wheel bearing, and cv axle for my driver's side though, the center nut threads are cross threaded aparently on this dealership axle my friend sold me... I descovered this when it kept comming lose, and when I rethreaded it, it wouldn't go on streight at all. So the hub comes lose every week. This car is really being a money sucker right now. Oh well.
