3AT Kickdown Solenoid

Featured Replies

I'm looking to change the geabox from auto to manual. I've scoured the whole forum and found lots of good info, but couldn't find any info on what to do with the kickdown solenoid once the auto is removed. Anyone who has done the conversion - what did you do ?

Is there anyone who knows what to do with the kickdown solenoid cables once the tranny is removed. I read on one post they had problems. Anyone ???

Heres something silly for ya, that probably wont help at all. I did the 5 sp swap a few months ago, with no problems. Drive the car every day. And I don't even know what a "kickdown solenoid" is. Theres cables to it?

I'd bet somebody that knows more about these AT's than me chime in here to help you out, but just in case, what is this thing and where? Maybe I can help.
