Now the summer is comming to Denmark, and I want to open my sunroof in my 90´Loyale Wagon. But then an annoing smell of petrol fumes is commimg from behind. It´s because the seal around the rear gate is flat and not tight. Does anyone have an elegant way of fixing that problem?

perhaps you can adjust the gate to close a bit more tightly?

i think theres some adjustment in the latch at the bottom...

 

or else find a less flattened gasket at a junkyard...

They sell automotive weatherstripping and adhesive at parts stores here. I'm sure you could find some and make a new gasket.

Last year I adjusted the latch, but then gate did´nt close well. I just need to buy a new weatherstrip.
