Does anyone know if I can use a weber carb on a EA82 with a throttle body or are the manifolds for carbs different.

i suppose its possible you have to make a spacer since the throttle body on the spfi has coolant running through the base. it would be better to use a carb manifold in that case becasue then you could use a 2bbl.

 

what are you trying to do?

I'm putting it in a 73 Super beetle.. I'm going for the most simple, least problematic installation possible.

do you have the right distrubitor already? it would be easier to just use all parts from a carbed engine.

What I have is the 91 engine and wiring in total for mpfi. What would have to be switched?
