So hyp speeking, what do you think of this

would the flow restrictions negate the extra cooling.

cant imagin it would slow flow more then a FMIC,

Between space requirements and all of the contortions and acrobatics the air would have to do to get in an out of two ICs, you would be better off buying a better top mount IC or a FMiC

Hmmm...With a stock IHI RHB5...I don't see how a TINY turbo like that has enough positive force to fill both the IC's. Now, if you talk about a vf37 (perfect for pushing a lower displacement motor IE an ej20g or ej205) that may have enough "UMMMPHHH" if you will...But, still 2 IC's would be overkill.

 

Are you talking piping 2 to run in sequence? Or custom fabbing say...The same surface area as 2 WRX IC's and top mounting or front mounting them?

 

But, I do understand what you are saying, but I really think THAT much is overkill.

 

Pressure drop would be a huge problem.

i was thinking of using two wrx intercoolers and cutting the end tank inhalf on them and welding them together so you wouold have one giant intercooler....

I would put the A/A first, use the abundant coolant to remove as much heat as possible, then use the A/W to chill the intake air to possibly lower than ambient (not practical with it the other way around).

 

If properly sized, you shouldn't get much of a mass-thoughput drop, but you should get a pressure drop (gas laws). "Properly sized" will be difficult due to the aforementioned space constraints.
