I am new here but not to Subaru. I have been running a 97' twin turbo EJ20 with a manual shifted 4EAT auto tranny in a mid-engine street legal sand rail for three years. I am working on installing MegaSquirtnSpark on another EJ20G for another future sand rail. I am not sure what way to go with the MegaSquirt. I would like to keep the coil on plugs but it may be hard to do with EDIS. Any one here doing some thing along this route.

BTW if anyone wants info on shifting a 4EAT full manual without the TCU let me know.

sounds like a really nice setup.

migt as well just post the guide to TCU free shifting in the Repair manual section of the board. It link is in the top bar.

I agree one decient pic is worth 1000 words. a number of pics, well imagine

you mean a setup like this with the megasquirt and edis running???

www.oddcomp.com/topshot.jpg.JPG

there is a ea82 single turbo hiding under all that .. stuff

and goin coil on plug with edis should work fine other people are doing it on other motors

just rewire the c.o.p's to fire off the coil pack leads from the edis module

i will look into it a bit more to figure out the way to do it

yeah yeah i know i screwed up the file name .. oh well lol

I was hoping to see what others have done with the EJxx engines.

It seems the EDIS modual is output load sensitive but I plan to try just that.

The real advance for us subie folk would be if some one with code experence could make the six tooth EJxx crank wheel to work.

If you want to post a pic, you have to upload it onto the member's photo gallery, then type in "" then the address for the picture, followed by "". It should show up on your post.
