boof
Hey guys new to forum I have just picked up a 89 Brat/Brumby with a ea82t. After longer drives at a constant speed it wont rev past 4500 without turning the motor off and back on again. Can anyone help me? What other problems do I need to look for? What boost can you dial in without too much probs? Thanx in advance
555Ron
Hi, check for a blocked cat. There was another member with the exact same problem, and there was a lot written on the troubleshooting and theories. Do a search and you should find a wealth of info. Who put the EA82T into the brumby? Sounds like a deadly machine!
boof
It was swapped in Bathurst. The thing flys. Straight body and Engineered. Bargain for $1000

You could put 10 times the price on that and some noob would buy it
boof
Ok Did the search and I dont think it is the cat (I could be wrong) It is like the fuel is cut. Turn the key to off and turn back on and all is ok again. It is really begining to bug me.
ausubaru92
I dont know much about turbo's... yet, but i think it could be fuel cut if your wastegate isnt functioning properly and allowing too much boost Gannon
