tail lights won't turn off - 98 Forester

Featured Replies

Any one else have this problem? The tail lights and front marker lights will not turn off. The only way to get them to go out is pull the fuse - which also turns off the dash lights.

The turn signals, brake lights, headlights etc all work fine.

Any ideas? Switch? Hidden relay somewhere?

Thanks

Right after posting this, a box came up with similar posts and my answer was right there! That switch on the column that I thought was for the 4-ways turns on the parking lights. This forum is great.

I think just about everyone in the Subaru World has experienced this at one time or another

Oh ya,...

The same problem here a few years back. The moral of the story is not to let the kids play around in the driver's seat or clean the dash area without playing close attention!

Welcome to the board also!
