Legacy Engine in Forester ???

I just ordered the front and rear O2 sensors for my 2001 Forester from my NAPA dealer. The front one did not match up at all. After a while with the NAPA Tech line it was discovered that I have a 2.5 Legacy motor installed and that I need to mention that when ordering any further engine related parts.

What gives on this one ???????

Legacy engine? You sure it's just not a 2.5 engine meant to be in there. If it hasn't been swapped, it's supposed to be in there, and I don't think napa knows what they're talking about.

 

Just my thoughts.

Wouldn't a Forester and a Legacy have the same engine for 2001?
