rgold
I think I just did a bad thing to my 1987 GL-10 turbo. While changing out the timing belts (my first time with the 1.8 L) I somehow managed to miss the part about "one full rotation clockwise" after aligning the LH cam sproket BEFORE aligning the RH cam. In short, I cleverly had both cams on their alignment marks with the flywheel on center time mark. Needless to say the engine wouldn't start, sounded "rather odd as well". I discovered the situation. Aligned cams properly, engine won't start (but does sound more normal). So what have I done to my engine? Any ideas for remedy, (other than a reading class and a real mechanic). Thanks, Bob
