Tweeters and/or Upgrading Forester Speakers

Featured Replies

Has anyone upgraded the speakers in their Subaru? I have a 2004 Forester and would like to add tweeters, but Subaru's own part is so overpriced and still seems like poor quality paper cones. Has anyone added an OEM/aftermarket set of tweeters? What did you buy, and how/where did you install them?

Does anyone know if the "official" Subaru tweeter kits for any other year/model fits the 2004 Forester? I've seen a few for earlier Legacy or Impreza being sold very cheaply by some dealerships online.

I have two years left on my lease, and want better sound without making any changes that I may get surcharged for if I retrun the car at the end of the lease.

Thanks!

JB

I don't think there are any aftermarket tweeter kits for the Forester. I'd stick with the Subaru ones.

Dr. Outback has some specials from time to time...

I purchased my factory tweeter kit from him and I love it!

Best of all it was $25.

I installed them on my lunch break in 5 minutes.

Good Luck,

Glenn
