Another ridiculous problem...

 

My ea82 (86) is going crazy. When the weather is hot it gets worse for whatever reason. I will be idleing fine around 700, up untill right when i hit the middle mark between cold and hot on the gauge. Then after I drive about 5 minutes it starts to rev at around 3 grand, sometimes even four. I can pull the pedal back with my foot and it helps a little but not all the way. If i try to adjust down the idle speed when it's doing this, the next time I try and start the car it wont idle by itself. Somethings not right... Any ideas?
