2002 WRX Wagon Rear Washer fluid not working

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

This is my first post and let me tell you...I am so impressed with the community here.

Here's my problem -

2002 WRX Wagon: My rear wiper washer fluid doesn't work. I looked in the owners manual and it doesn't tell me where to fill up the rear washer with fluid. I press the button for the rear washer fluid and I can hear the pump, but no fluid...

I'm sure someone here can help me out. Thanks!

Welcome!

Does your front work? My guess is that you are out of fluid in your main reservoir since I am almost POSITIVE that they are both fed from the same reservoir in your engine bay. Start with checking that fluid level (on the driverside by the battery) and then look for a hose that might not be connected.

My front ones work fine, and I've filled that thing up with fluid to make sure.

I'll try looking for a hose that might not be connected, but I'm pretty sure I looked around there. I'll post again if its still not fixed. argh!

There should be two washer motors attached to the reservoir. I would start there, and then work towards the rear. I hope you find the problem!

Kevin

they are both fed from the same reservoir up front

did the reservoir ever run dry?

is the rear nozzle clogged?

if you can hear the motor... that's not the problem.

it's got to be in the line or in the nozzle
