Confusion

Featured Replies

alright its been a while but i have been working on the wagon, tapped and heli-coiled out a new exhaust bolt hole and have got it running alright, but last night it just died on me, stranded me on the other side of a hill so i had to walk about 2 miles home. i think it is a problem with the injector, i does not recive any power, there isnt even any power getting to the fuse box for the fuse that runs the injector. what could the problem be? is it a relay? if we put power to the injector it does work that ways so its something in the connection?

thanks for your help

yes, i dont know whats wrong, its like there is not power getting to the fuse box, if i hard wire it it works put otherwise i dont know, maybe is the comp.

Fuseable links can be deceptive sometimes. i had one that would work 90% of the time, but would cut out sometimes. Looked fine, but wasn't.

Had this happen to me once. It wasn't in the Sube, it was in my dad's Vette. Ended up being a corroded battery cable. Easy to check, I suppose.

Replace fusible links in black box under hood. Replace injector fuse in fuse block. That's where I would start; despite what they looked like. I've seen fuses with hairline cracks I couldnt see but were bad. I've seen fusible links that looked/felt okay but weren't.

Just sending 12vdc to the injector wouldnt work I woudl suspect. The computer has to tell it when to 'open' and 'close'. I spose it's worth a shot; either it will work, or it will just say 'open', or it will fry it :drunk:
