How do you disable keyless lock system?

This is a 97 Legacy Outback.

 

The car has an aftermarket alarm and the original keyless remote door lock system. Everytime I disconnect the battery, the keyless system starts flashing the lights.

 

Does anyone know how to disable the original keyless system? Can I just pull the power wire going to the keyless system?
