NuclearBacon
I was curious if the MPFI head is different from the SPFI head. i have an EA82T with MPFI. Theres a WHOLE bunch of SPFI heads in the junkyard, and i need a head! .... not as many MPFI .... stupid question??
TROGDOR!
Nope, an SPFI head won't work. They only have a single intake port on each head, where turbo and MPFI heads have two. You can use one head from a nonturbo XT, but I forget which side it is. Driver's I believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong. The other side has an extra cooling or oil passage of some sort, I think. ausubaru92
Yeah the not turbo sides are the same. the turbo side head has the oil and coolant passages drilled out. On the mpfi NA head, the left and right heads are identical, the bosses for the coolant and oil are there so they only need to be drilled and tapped if needed ( i havent done this, ive only been told) Gannon
