Got an 84 GL 4sp D/R

 

I was checking out the fluids and found the tranny oil was WAY over filled!

 

It measured about an inch and a half OVER the full mark on the dip stick.

 

Is this going to be a problem?

and...

Is there a drain plug to get rid of some oil, like the diff has?

 

I know I can pull the drive line and get a 90w shower and

I could probably pump it out...

 

But is there an easier way...?

It shouldnt have hurt anything and you can drain it thru the large drain plug, its probably a 21MM or 22MM plug dead center (widthwise) in the transmission near the front.
