I spoke with my mechanic about the subaru. he says that if the car runs unevenly...especially when warm, to check the intake gaskets for a leak. he says that the intake gaskets on the early 2.2L tended to crack and would cause a vacuum leak, causing one side of the engine to run lean. That is exactly what I think is happening. Looked at the intake gasket...leak is so bad I can see it! Happy day. Maybe it will live again!!
